In our view the strong should help the weak.

Winston Churchill
Election Address,
Devonport,
February 9th, 1950
.

______________

. . . there are rules against that kind of thing;
and to break those rules would be fatal to the honour of the British Empire,
without which we could neither hope nor deserve to win this hard war.
Military defeat or miscalculation can be redeemed.
The fortunes of war are fickle and changing.
But an act of shame
would deprive us of the respect which we now enjoy throughout the world,
and this would sap the vitals of our strength.

Winston Churchill.

Jew with Star of David

A Jewish gentleman in Berlin in 1940 - forced by the Nazi's - like all Jews were - to wear a symbol denoting that he was a Jew.

Shortly after this picture was taken, every Jew was rounded up and sent in cattle trucks to the concentration camps.

5th

German doctors used healthy Jewish prisoners as human guinea pigs. The medical records of these experiments (with photographs of the victims) still exist. What was done to these people is too horrific to ever properly comprehend.

The scale of the persecution of Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, leftists, Slavs and the mentally disabled, boggles the mind: freight trains carrying Jews to human stockyards from across Nazi-occupied Europe; victims worked to death, shot or gassed; corpses incinerated or processed into soap; gold teeth harvested for the coffers of the Reich.

Items made from human skins - especially those with tattoos were prized by Dachau guards. Such acts of unspeakable cruelty reveal the depths of depravity that the human race can sink to when the good people of any country fail to

The purpose of these pages is to tell the story of Churchill's life - not to give a detailed account of the wars he was involved in, for that is a vast subject.

To obtain an idea of the cause and magnitude of the war, examine the monthly calendar for each year - they include many photographs.

It is important to remember that heavy censorship of news took place throughout them, and therefore knowledge of many of these events was not available until long after they happened - or until after the wars had ended.
